Writers/Actors: The Minor Prophets

The Minor Prophets are a three-man comedy troupe from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. Since 2001, Steve Kuzmick, Gil Damon, and David Amadio have created more than 30 short films, many of which are available on their YouTube channel, launched in the Golden Age of the video-sharing platform. In addition to their film work, the Prophets have staged seven full-length sketch comedy shows, including Raw Dog and Fade to Yellow, both of which premiered at Philadelphia’s historic Trocadero Theatre.

In 2006, they began their collaboration with director/producer Derek Frey—a partnership strengthened by deep roots. Frey and the Prophets all grew up in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, where Frey and Damon first became friends in middle school. Reconnecting years later, they discovered that their shared comedic sensibilities translated naturally into filmmaking. Together, they have created a string of award-winning shorts, including The Ballad of Sandeep, Motel Providence, and Awkward Endeavors. The troupe also wrote and starred in The Book Club for Men, a six-episode web series that epitomizes their brand of absurd, satirical, character-driven humor.

The Minor Prophets continue to develop new material and long-form projects, always balancing their offbeat comedic voice with grounded, human storytelling.
